Dr. Clay holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Theology, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, a Master of Arts in Social Work, and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership She and her husband, Kenneth B. Clay Sr., have been married for 30 years and have two sons, a role she cherishes deeply In her free time, she enjoys reading and appreciating nature.​​​​
